The state has 18 colleges, universities, and community colleges that offer campus based nursing programs.
Nurses interested in upgrading their education have the opportunity to do so in Iowa. There are eight universities or colleges that offer Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degrees. Three of those schools, Allen College, Clarke University and Graceland University offer both MSN and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees. The University of Iowa also offers MSN, DNP and PhD in Nursing degree programs.
